DJ_LP_ViBE I really liked Gothtimist on its own but was blown away not only by the musicality on Ken's voice but the lyrics read on their own sound like poetry that would be appealing and grounded in any of the eras from the past 50 years. Add to that a laundry list of collaborators including the incomparable Jason Corbett of ACTORS and music producer extraordinare at JACKKNIFE SOUND. Other than that there is the lyrics, "I smoke another clove cigarette, and then I dream of tomorrow". Favorite track: Gothtimist.

Gothtimism is the title track off the upcoming album. It encapsulates the idea of the Sounds and Shadows website/group. The world of 2022 is a dark and trecherous place. In our most challenging moments we reach for our friends who band together to take us through these times. In this spirit, we have adding in contributions from important aspects of the modern darkscene to lift us to new heights. To give us hope, that a future can still rise above the fears we face.

A crushing weight on me.
I've been alone in this world for so many days.
It's all catching up to me.
Lost in my head and spinning round.
Pulling myself a part again.
All of these things I've said and done.
1000 wounds I'm bleeding from.
Hold me for just one moment.
Give me something to believe.
A Broken world of broken people.
Form a dark ring around me.
